10.08.2020 - Croi Eanna, Landscaping

After the Community Centre reached completion, our focus shifted to the external landscaping. The Woodland Trust have kindly provided 420 new trees on our site in Newtownabbey as part of their (and the world’s!) strategy to help reduce the impact of climate change. In order to reach the goal of being net zero carbon, 1.5 million hectares of woodland needs to be provided (the same area as Yorkshire). The trees provided are a mix of holly, hazel, hawthorn, downy birch & crab apple trees that will all help support the local wildlife.
